About Coorg
Coorg, officially called Kodagu, is the most sought after and popular hill station of Karnataka, India. Kodagu is the largest producer of Coffee in India. Also, it is one of the places with highest rainfall across the nation. Undulating hills covered in lush green forests and a landscape dotted with coffee plantations, tea gardens and orange groves, this hill station has breathtakingly stunning scenic beauty.

Best time to Visit:
The best time to visit Kodagu is between October to May and the peak season for this hill station is within February to May.The South-West monsoon sets over the hills in June and the monsoon lasts for three to four months.

Activity:
The popular tourist attractions in Kodagu include Bhagamandala, Talakaveri, Nisargadhama, Dubare, Abbey Falls, Iruppu Falls and Nagarahole National Park. Pushpagiri and Brahmagiri in Coorg are ideal for trekking.
How to reach:
The only way to reach this nature’ s guarded resort is to motor down from Mysore, Mangalore or Hassan towns, all in the state of Karnataka or from Kannur or Tellicherry in Kerala state. Madikeri is 120 km from Mysore and 260 km from Bangalore.
Place to Stay:
Coffee Home stay.
Entire family is so humble and sweet. You wont feel a part of their family. They keep suggesting some off-beat location to explore, time to visit and where to shop for spices and coffee.

Language spoken:
Apart from Kannada, the other two main languages of this hill station are Kodagu and Kodava.

Mobile Network:
There is no issue in mobile network, until you go for some trekking or off-roading. There we are having mobile network of Airtel, JIO, BSNL.
There place where I stay (mention above) is having JIO tower beside their homestay. So working for office or taking meeting is not an issue. Mobile hotspot also work fine.

Dubare- No parking fee
Abbe waterfall- ₹ 40/-
Bird park - ₹ 40/-
Nisargadhama forest - ₹ 20/-
Safety:
Road from Sakleshpur to Coorg is full of twist and turns. Road are also narrow, due to valley and mountains. Avoid driving on this route in heavy rainfall. There could be chance of landslide or accident. But driving to this road will be full of scenic views and spots to admire
Things to carry for a road trip:
Good Amount of cash.
Raincote or umberal.
1lt Water bottle per person while hikking or trekking.
Snacks and some chocolate.
Trash Bag toi bring back your waste item back to your stay location.
